Nigerians have taken to social media to complain about the ‘special treatment’ given to heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, while processing his national ID card.
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) had taken to its Twitter page and shared photos of Anthony Joshua registering for his National Identification Number (NIN).
In the photos, British-Nigerian boxer was seen during the registration of the National ID card, and after he was issued his NIN slip same day.
NIMC posted the photos in an attempt to encourage other Nigerians to enroll for the NIN.
However, following the tweet, many Nigerians have taken to social media to complain about how cumbersome the process is in getting the NIN, stating that if the process was made easier for them just like they did for Anthony Joshua, they would have applied for theirs.
