The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 204 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the country’s total infections to 1,932.
On its Twitter page on Thursday night, NCDC said 80 of the new infection were recorded in Kano, 45 are in Lagos, 12 are in Gombe, Bauchi and Sokoto – nine each, Borno and Edo – seven each.
The others are six each in Rivers and Ogun, four each in FCT, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa, three in Kaduna, Oyo, Delta, and Nasarawa with one each in Ondo and Kebbi.
Thursday’s new cases are the highest reported in a day since the NCDC started compiling the pandemic data in February.
The number of deaths from the virus also rose to 58 while 319 have now recovered.
