The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 350 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 11,516.
The NCDC who disclosed in tweet on Tuesday night said 102 were confirmed in Lagos, 34 in Lagos, 29 in Abuja, 26 in Borno and 23 in Kaduna, 17 in Ebonyi, 16 in Kwara.
While 14 more cases were confirmed in Katsina, 10 cases each was recorded in Edo, Delta, Kano and Bauchi state. Nine in Bayelsa, eight in Imo, four in Plateau, three in Ondo, two in Nasarawa, one in Gombe and one in Oyo state.
The centre noted that 3,525 persons infected by the virus have recovered and were discharged while unfortunately, 323 people have lost their lives to the virus.
“On the 4th of June 2020, 350 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria. No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
“The 350 new cases are reported from 20 states; Lagos-102, Ogun-34, FCT-29, Borno-26, Kaduna-23, Rivers-21, Ebonyi-17, Kwara -16, Katsina-14, Edo-10, Delta-10, Kano-10, Bauchi-10, Bayelsa-9, Imo-8, Plateau-4, Ondo-3, Nasarawa-2, Gombe-1, Oyo-1.
“Till date, 11516 cases have been confirmed, 3535 cases have been discharged and 323 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” NCDC said.
