“250 In Lagos, 100 In Oyo” – Nigeria Confirms 649 New Coronavirus Cases As Total Hits 22,020

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 649 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 22,020.

In a tweet on Wednesday night, NCDC said the new cases were reported in 21 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with Lagos State topping the daily record of the virus with 250 cases, closely followed by Oyo State with 100 cases.

The new cases are also recorded in Plateau-40; Delta-40; Abia-28; Kaduna-27; Ogun-22; Edo-20; Akwa Ibom-18; Kwara and FCT-17. Others include Enugu-14; Niger and Adamawa-13; Bayelsa-7; Osun and Bauchi-6; Anambra-4; Gombe-3 Sokoto-2; Imo and Kano-1.

According to the NCDC, the number of deaths increased from 533 to 542, while the number of discharged persons increased from 7,338 to 7,613.
