I’m Being Cursed In Mosques Over My Involvement In #ENDSARS Protest – Aisha Yesufu

Human Right Activist, Aisha Yesufu has revealed that her fellow Muslims are now cursing her in the mosques because of her involvement in the #EndSARS protest which saw Nigerians demanding an end to police brutality and extortion in the country.

Yesufu, who is a co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls group, was one of the driving forces of the #EndSARS protest with the iconic photo of her in a flowing hijab with her raised clenched fist going viral on social media.

In a tweet on Friday, Yesufu said some poeple are cursing in their prayers and the mosques for being one of the leaders of the massive demonstration that attracted global attention.

She, however, asked those cursing her why they had not done so when she was protesting against the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“I heard I am being cursed in mosques! People finish praying and take time out to curse me in their prayers. I have asked that they should please let me know how many of these curses they rained on me when I was making the same demands during GEJ! We are all already cursed in Nigeria. Rolling on the floor laughing,” she wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls there had been an #EndSARS protest across the country against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over its brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.
