The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate withdrawal of all police officers attached to all VIPs across the nation.
However, those attached to government houses, the Senate President and the Speaker House of Representatives will not be withdrawn.
This was contained in a police wireless message dated October 21, 2020 and addressed to all state Commissioners of Police.
The message which was signed by the AIPOL, Protect, Force Headquarters, Abuja, reads in part:
“Any protect personnel found escorting or guarding any VIP with or without a firearm is deemed to be deployed by the commander and the commander will be sanctioned.”
“all withdrawn protect personnel are to report to COMPOL commands.”
“any commander who violates this order will bear the consequences.”
Meanwhile, despite all the video evidence, the Nigerian Army has denied shooting at peaceful protesters.
While the Governor of Lagos State Sanwo-Olu said no fatality was recorded in the Lekki toll gate shooting.
For lying against the Nigerian youths, angry Lagosians stormed Sanwo-Olu’s family house in Lagos Island and burnt down the building. They also set his mothers building in Akerele Surulere on fire.
