Burna Boy Set To Perform At The Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony

Nigerian afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy has been named among those who will perform at the 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony slated for March 14, 2021.

Burna Boy, who is the first Nigerian artiste to earn back to back Grammy nominations, will also be the first ever Nigerian act to perform at the event which will be hosted by American singer, Jhené Aiko ― a three-time Grammy nominee.

The self-proclaimed African Giant will perform at the event alongside Lido Pimienta, a Colombian-Canadian musician; Poppy, an American singer; and Rufus Wainwright.

According to the Academy, “all of the premiere ceremony performers and the host are nominated this year, as are most of the presenters.”

KanyiDaily had reported that Burna Boy is nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category for his 2020 album “Twice As Tall” at the forthcoming edition of the awards.

The 29-year-old Afrobeat singer bagged his second Grammy nomination alongside other entertainers like Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar and Tianariwen.
