Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.
The former governor made this known in a letter read at plenary by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Wednesday.
Okorocha, a senator representing the Imo West senatorial district on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will address a world press conference to speak more about his presidential ambition on Monday, January 31, 2022.
This comes a few months after Rochas Okorocha has expressed optimism that he would contest and win the 2023 presidential election.
The serving senator said he had contested for the presidency three times but failed at the primary level, adding that he must win in fourth attempt.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of Arewa Professionals has endorsed Rochas Okorocha for the office of the President in 2023.
