Popular Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma has revealed that he was almost accused of stealing in a hotel in London, the United Kingdom, because of a popular con man, Simon Leviev, who is known for Ponzi scheme and internet scam.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram stories, the comedian said he was trying to check into a hotel in London and on arrival, he was asked to present the card he used in booking the room.
Bovi said that he made it clear to the hotel security that his wife, who was in Nigeria, used her card to book the hotel room for him, but the matter turned worse when his own card declined.
In order to save himself from the situation as they thought he was trying to steal, Bovi revealed that for the first time in his life, he told the hotel officials “google me.”
The comedian then blamed Simon Leviev for his ordeal, saying the Tinder Swindler had ‘spoilt everywhere’ with his escapades and has made organizations more alert to scams and cyber theft.
Bovi wrote, “Simon Leviev done spoil everywhere o. Tryna check into hotel in London and they insist I present the card that was used for the booking.
“I tell them it was done for me by my wife and she’s in Naija. That made it worse. They think I’m stealing. Then to crown am, my own card dey decline.
“For the first time in my life, I said the words ‘google me’.”
KanyiDaily had also reported how Bovi put his last son up for ‘sale’ on social media after he broke their television set for the third time.
