Army Discovers Wreckage Of AirForce Jet That Disappeared In Sambisa Forest [Photos]

The Nigerian Army on Saturday announced that its troops have uncovered the wreckage of the missing Alpha Jet aircraft in Sambisa Forest, Borno State.

Nigerian Army Discovers Missing Alpha Jet Aircraft

KanyiDaily recalls that the Airforce jet with two crew members went off the radar on March 31, 2021, and since then, the whereabouts of both the aircraft and the crew members were unknown.

However, in a statement on Saturday, March 26, 2022, the army said its troops uncovered the wreckage of the plane during its clearance operation in the Sambisa Forest, Borno State.

The statement reads, “Troops of Operation Desert Sanity on clearance patrol in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, have uncovered the wreckage of crashed Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that went off the radar with 2 crew members on 31 March 2021. Further exploitation ongoing.”
