Olori Kafayat Adeyemi, one of the wives of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has passed away in the United States of America.
It was gathered that Olori Kafayat, who was the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, popularly known as D’Guv, died on Friday night, July 1, 2022.
According to Punch, the Director of Media and Publicity at the Alaafin Palace, Mr Bode Durojaye, confirmed her death on Saturday morning.
He said, “She died in the United States of America. I will give you the details later.”
Olori Kafayat, who was the fourth Olori of the late Oba Adeyemi, was the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi (D’Gov), who is the chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pensions Board.
Her death comes a few weeks after Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi died on Friday, April 22 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, after a brief illness at the age of 83.
