A 57-year-old woman, Marie France Mbea has been arrested for allegedly killing her sister-in-law for money ritual in Biyem Assi area of Yaoundé, Cameroon.
It was gathered that the woman was apprehended on Monday while leaving a hotel with the body parts of her sister-in-law which she chopped up and stuffed in a suitcase.
Mbea was said to have lodged into the hotel with the victim and used a beer bottle to hit her on the head before slitting her throat on Sunday night.
After the killing, the suspect left the hotel, only to appear on Monday with a machete and a valise. She then chopped the body into pieces and bundled them in the bag.
But the hotel management suspected foul when they discovered that she was carrying something too heavy for her and despite offers to help her, she refused.
The hotel management called the police who arrested and interrogated the suspect at the station, where she confessed that she had been talking with an unknown man on the phone who advised her to kill her sister-in-law and bring her body parts to him in exchange for wealth.
