The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has appointed former Senate Presidents, Anyim Pius, and Bukola Saraki, as special advisers in his campaign council.
A statement signed by Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, on Monday, stated that Saraki is to serve as special envoy to the presidential candidate and Anyim as a special adviser.
Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau was also appointed to serve as a special adviser just as former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Senator Ehigie Uzamere.
The statement further stated that former PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus, was also appointed as technical adviser to the presidential candidate.
Atiku charged the appointees to employ their vast experiences to attain victory for the party in the 2023 general elections, saying the appointments are to take immediate effect.
