The Ogun State Police Command, says the command has arrested two men, Emmanuel Thompson and Joshua Godwin who allegedly conspired together to gang-rape an eighteen years old girl.

The command disclosed this in a terse tweet on its official twitter handle on Wednesday evening.
According to the tweet, the two suspects were arrested at Ogijo town in the state.
It also said the duo has confessed to the commission of the crime.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Lanre Bankole, the tweet also disclosed, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
“On Tuesday 30th of August 2022, arrested two men, Emmanuel Thompson and Joshua Godwin who conspired together to gang rape an eighteen year old girl (name withheld),” the tweet reads.
“The two arrested suspects have confessed to the commission of the crime.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution.”

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily had reported that the Jigawa State Police command confirmed that a 26-year-old housewife, Ummi Garba was gang-raped and slaughtered in Hadejia Local Government Area of the state.
The command spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam said the incident occurred when the unknown criminals took advantage of her husband’s absence, sneaked into the house, raped and butchered her at Warwadi quarters in Hadejia town.
