Any Party Contesting Against APC In Lagos Is Wasting Time – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has stated that any party that is contesting against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State is wasting its time.

Wike Speaks About APC In Lagos State

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, disclosed Wike’s statement on his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

He wrote, “Any party contesting against APC in Lagos is wasting time. Sanwo-Olu is a super-performing Governor. – Gov. Nyesom Wike.”

Wike had earlier endorsed the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term in office.

Wike, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has not been on good terms with the party over his refusal of its national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu to step down.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that Wike dared the PDP to suspend him following the crisis rocking the party as a result of his calls for Ayu’s resignation.
