Buhari’s Achievements Would Be Appreciated In Due Course – Bola Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu says that the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari would be appreciated in due course.

Bola Tinubu Hails Buhari Over His Achievements

Speaking on Tuesday at the ministerial performance review retreat held at the presidential villa in Abuja, the former Lagos governor said the president has done well and nobody can take away his achievements.

Tinubu noted that Buhari’s achievements might go unappreciated at the moment but the history books would be fair to the president.

He said, “May I say this to you, to the entire team, the things you have done are important and enduring, try as they might, no one can take those achievements away from you.

“Yet, it is the fate of the selfless worker to labour too hard and too long to write his own story. He would rather accomplish all the things to do than to focus attention on himself or herself. Thus, his history is not always laid accurately too.

“His labour and achievements may go unappreciated for a moment, however, that moment cannot last and cannot lie, in due course, the full essence of this administration and the contribution would be well known and understood very well.”

Tinubu promised that if elected, he will show due honour to the efforts and legacies of the President and work in the spirit of unity, national purpose that informed the creation of the party.

Tinubu said his government will be devoted to continuity, particularly of projects that will bring prosperity to the citizens, while his guiding principle will be hinged on providing the best of progressive governance and reform the nation.

The APC presidential candidate added that these three promises will be in furtherance to the nine priority areas of the Buhari administration.

KanyiDaily recalls that Bola Tinubu had vowed that he would never step on Buhari’s toes if he wins the presidential election and succeed him in 2023.
