President Muhammadu Buhari met with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tunubu, and the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
The meeting was held on Sunday night shortly after the president returned to Nigeria following his 13-day “routine” medical checkup in London, the United Kingdom.
Taking to his Twitter page yesterday night, the special assistant to the president on digital communications, Bashir Ahmad announced that Buhari held a closed-door meeting with Tinubu and Adamu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting comes ahead of the formal flag-off of the party’s presidential campaign, scheduled to take place in Jos, the Plateau capital, on Tuesday, November 15.
Ahmad wrote: “JUST IN: President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Chairman of the great party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, ahead of the formal presidential campaign flag-off later in the week.”
KanyiDaily recalls that an elder statesman, Edwin Clark said that the Supreme Court should be approached to seek an interpretation of why President Muhammadu Buhari has been traveling abroad for his medical check-up without telling Nigerians the details of his health status.
