Kano State Magistrate Court has ordered the flogging of two TikTok skit makers, Mubarak Muhammad (Uniquepikin) and Nazifi Muhammad for allegedly defaming the character of the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The comedians were first arraigned by the police before Magistrate Court 58, Nomansland, Kano, on the 3rd of November.
When the charges were read to them, the two TikTokers pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and defamation of character of the governor.
The magistrate, therefore,re-ordered that they be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till 7 November.
In his Judgement on Monday, November 7, the magistrate, Aminu Gambari ordered that the two boys be flogged with 20 lashes of the cane each, among other conditions.
The judge also ordered the duo to sweep and wash the toilets on the premises of the Magistrates Court located at No-Man’s-Land area of Kano for 30 days.
