Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the news of a lady who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon yesterday, Thursday.
Kanyi Daily reported that the lady has now been identified as Adetutu Adedokun, a staff of the Department of State Services (DSS)
Reports say she was recently engaged by her fiance.
According to the Uber driver who was driving her, Adetutu was having a heated argument with her fiance before she alighted from the car and jumped into the lagoon.
Reacting to the incident in a tweet on Friday afternoon, Sani said the lady deserves “our sympathy and prayers.”
He noted that no one knows the state of her mental health, adding her condition or frustration may have gone off the radar of her loved ones.
The former lawmaker argued no one wishes to die that way, saying “We will never know why.”
He wrote, “The lady who suicidally plunged into Lagos Lagoon deserves our sympathy and prayers.
“We don’t know the state of her mental health. Her condition or frustration may have gone off the radar of her loved ones.
“No one wishes to die that way. We will never know why.”
Meanwhile, a man committed suicide after discovering he is not the biological father of his 10-year-old daughter.
