Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani has expressed fear that conducting elections in some parts of the country will be a great challenge.
Sani expressed his fear due to the level of insecurity in the country.
Nigeria has been facing a lot of security challenges ranging from kidnapping for ransom, banditry, and Boko Haram amongst several others.
In a tweet on his official handle on Thursday, Sani argued that Nigeria’s important problem is security.
According to him, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must devise a means of ensuring that people who live in dangerous localities are not disenfranchised.
He wrote, “Nigeria’s most important problem is security. Conducting elections in some parts of the country will definitely be a great challenge.
