A 35-year-old notorious bandit informant, Isah Ayuba of Kaura Namoda has been arrested by the Zamfara State Police Command.
The notorious bandit informant was arrested on January 3rd, 2023 by police tactical operatives based on intelligence information.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the spokesman of the command, SP Mohammed Shehu on Thursday and posted on the command’s Twitter handle.
Shehu said the informant gives information to Bandits operating in Kaura Namoda, B/Magaji Zurmi/Shinkafi.
According to him, in the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed to collaborating with bandits by giving them information on who to kidnap, and where to attack amongst others.
“The suspect is under police custody revealing vital information that will lead to the arrest of his collaborators.
“Discreet investigation is in progress, all the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution on completion of the investigation,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Zamfara State Police Command has arrested two suspected bandits for kidnapping and cattle rustling.
The suspects were arrested by police tactical operatives while on confidence-building patrol acting on intelligence information.
