Umahi Reveals Why Tinubu Should Put Wike At Core Of His Government

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has revealed why the president-elect, Bola Tinubu should include Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers, in his administration.

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was alleged to have helped Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking on Monday at an event hosted by Wike in Obio-Akpor LGA of Rivers, Umahi said Tinubu should bring Wike to the core administration of his government because he has a lot to offer.

The senator-elect said, “I thank God Almighty who had enacted that Asiwaju(Tinubu) and (Kashim) Shettima will win.

“Look at the process of God, Tinubu was courageous and Shettima. God, directly and indirectly, made Governor Wike very much available, and there is no way you can conclude about the success of the election without mentioning Governor Wike.

“We will be asking Asiwaju and Shettima to please bring Governor Wike to the core administration of the federal government. He has a lot to offer.

“He has a lot to offer for the unity of the country. It is not all about party now, it is about the unity of the country, it is how to move this country forward and reunite our people.”

Umahi said any politician who hopes to win in Rivers state without Wike is joking. He added that “Our people want performance, if you have performed as a governor, the people will stand with you.”

KanyiDaily recalls that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi had accused Nyesom Wike of working against him in the 2023 presidential election in Rivers.
