In a short tweet on his official Twitter handle on Thursday, Sani, who is 55 and a Muslim, narrated an event in his life while growing up.
According to him, when he was a child, his father would tell him to fast and he would respectfully start to fast.
Continuing, the former senator said, now as a father, when he tells his children to fast, one of them would google and reply to him that at his age he is not yet ripe for fasting.
The two incidents, Sani asserted, are the difference between “our generation and the internet generation.”
Shehu Sani wrote, “As a Child when my father told me to fast, I just respectfully started to fast.
“As a father, when I told my Children to fast, one of them googled and told me that his age is not yet ripe for fasting.
“That’s one of the differences between our generation & the internet generation.”
