Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

KanyiDaily recalls that Nnamdi Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS) since he was arrested and repatriated to Nigeria two years ago from Kenya.

In a post shared via his Twitter page on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Yul Edochie made a humble request from President Tinubu, urging him to release the detained IPOB leader.

He wrote, “To our Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, @officialABAT GCFR. The Jagaban. A man who has fought for democracy for 3 decades, A builder & supporter of men & women. My President, please release Nnamdi Kanu. A humble request from your son, Yul Edochie.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome had expressed fear that the IPOB leader might die in DSS custody because he is very sick and requires a surgical operation.
