Actress Shaffy Bello Reveals Why She Divorced Her Husband After 25 Years Of Marriage

Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello has revealed why she divorced her husband, Mr Akinrimisi, after 25 years of marriage.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Shaffy Bello disclosed that the primary factor leading to the end of her marriage was the long-distance nature of their relationship with Akinrimisi, who resided in the United States.

While acknowledging that Akinrimisi was a loving and devoted father to their children, the actress said she wanted to have more in her personal life because the constant back-and-forth travel required to maintain the relationship became increasingly burdensome and took a toll on their marriage.

“He [my ex-husband] was a good father to his children. But I got to a place where I wanted more. And I would always travel back and forth. But I knew at a point that if I really want this, it came with a sacrifice.

“It wasn’t a sacrifice of marriage, but then he being there [USA] and the distance didn’t help,” the mother of two said.

Shaffy Bello acknowledged the challenges she faced and how the circumstances made it increasingly hard for her to cope, ultimately leading to her decision to pursue a divorce.

Meanwhile, KanyiDaily had also reported that Former BBNaija housemate, Mercy Eke stated that she wants people to assume that she did blood money this year.
