US Ex-Vice President, Mike Pence Set To Launch His Presidential Campaign Next Week

Former Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence is set to officially announce his presidential campaign on June 7th during a rally in Des Moines.

Mike Pence’s intention to run for president has been widely anticipated, and he has been diligently preparing for his campaign over the past several months.

He has made frequent visits to Iowa, and he is scheduled to attend U.S. Senator Joni Ernst’s annual Roast and Ride fundraiser this weekend, joining a distinguished group of presidential candidates before his official campaign launch.

During a recent event in Ottumwa, Pence acknowledged Iowa’s influential role in shaping the nation’s leadership and emphasized the importance of selecting the right standard-bearer for the party, particularly during these challenging times.

“I honestly think that the choice that we will make for a standard bearer in our party has maybe never been more important. I do believe different times call for different leadership,” Pence told the crowd of a few dozen Wapello County Republicans.

Pence intends to extensively campaign in Iowa, focusing on grassroots politics to connect with voters, and discussing his faith, values, and vision for the country. He plans to visit all 99 counties in Iowa, demonstrating his commitment to engaging with the state’s citizens.

The former vice president enters a growing field of GOP hopefuls, which includes his former boss, former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is also expected to join the race next week.

Pence, who hails from Indiana, has been hinting at a potential presidential bid in 2024 for several months and is expected to attend Senator Joni Ernst’s upcoming Roast & Ride event this weekend.

Having served 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives and four years as Indiana’s governor, Pence brings a wealth of political experience to his presidential aspirations.

KanyiDaily recalls that last year, former US president, Donald Trump began an unprecedented comeback bid by declaring his 2024 presidential ambition at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
