Drama Unfolds As Lojay’s Father Reportedly Plans to Marry Third Wife, Amidst Disapproval From Other Wives

Lekan Osifeso, the father of singer, Lojay, has reportedly finalized plans to marry a third wife, Celicia Bolaji Dada, amidst disapproval from his other two wives.

According to Kemi Ashefon’s blog, the upcoming nuptial is scheduled to take place later this year and the soon-to-be bride, Cecilia Bolaji Dada, is the former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos State.

Osifeso and Bolaji Dada’s love story began during the gubernatorial campaign of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat in 2019, where Osifeso, a close friend of Hamzat, met his future bride.

The blogger said their relationship was based on love at first sight for Bolaji Dada, who had previously served, first as the executive secretary and then, vice-chairman of Apapa Local Government.

She was reportedly smitten by Osifeso’s handsome, suave and stylish personae, and she has remained stuck to him ever since their first meeting in 2019.

Their relationship blossomed over the years, and now Bolaji Dada’s dream of marrying her beloved Osifeso is on the verge of becoming a reality.

The wedding ceremony is expected to be an intimate affair, taking place outside Nigeria, attended by a select group of close friends and family members.

Osifeso, a successful businessman and chairman of Retro Group of Company, currently has two wives who aren’t in support of his new marriage to Bolaji Dada, 57.

His first wife, Aishat, is the mother of his three grown children, including singer Lojay. His second wife, Erelu Tola Solomon, a veteran fashion designer and businesswoman, recently celebrated her 60th birthday.

Kemi Ashefon claimed the impending marriage with Bolaji Dada has caused a rift in Osifeso’s existing homes.

Aishat, who was taken aback by the revelation of the affair and the upcoming wedding, feels betrayed not only by her husband but also by Bolaji Dada’s treachery.

Lojay’s mother had considered Bolaji Dada a friend of her husband and was unaware of their romantic involvement.

Insiders said Bolaji Dada had integrated herself into the family to such an extent that the children regarded her as their father’s elder sister, thus they call her Aunty.

It was also gathered that she visited their family home at will, took Aishat as a sister-friend and even hung around their bedroom, under the guise of having a meeting with Osifeso, while an unsuspecting Aishat would run around the kitchen to entertain her.

Some close friends of Aishat also revealed that  in December 2021, when Osifeso celebrated his conferment as the Olotu Olowa and Madasa of Ijebuland, Bolaji Dada had stuck around Aishat, doing all the domestic errands towards the preparation of the grand event.

Barely two years after the event, Aishat was reported to have let all hell loose when she learnt of Bolaji Dada’s secret affair with her husband.

Apart from Aishat, Osifeso’s second wife, Tola Solomon is also furious and determined to oppose the wedding plans, put an end to her husband’s affair with Bolaji Dada, and remove her from his life.

Aishat reportedly harbors strong resentment towards Tola Solomon and has refused to accept her, despite her dowry being paid three years ago.

Tola Solomon reciprocated the animosity towards Bolaji Dada, with whom she shares a cat and mouse relationship, as she has accused her of wrecking havoc on her marriage with Osifeso.

Meanwhile, some close watchers of the unfolding event have expressed the fear that Osifeso is being coerced into marriage by Bolaji Dada.

They speculate that her intense love for Osifeso is driven not only by affection but also by her ambition to become the deputy-governor of Lagos State in 2027.

Bolaji Dada frequently reminds her friends of Osifeso’s significant influence within the corridors of power, which she believes will aid her political ascent.

As friends closely watch the dynamics between Osifeso, Aishat, Tola Solomon, and Bolaji Dada, they hope that the ultimate victor in this love quadrangle will bring peace and happiness to the man at the center of the storm.

Some of Osifeso’s close acquaintances expressed concerns about Tola Solomon’s domineering nature, speculating that it may have prompted his decision to seek a third wife.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli has taken to social media to preach against domestic abuse and gender-based violence, warning that she would deal with any girl or woman that tries to hurt any of her sons.
