Suspected Thugs Block Peter Obi’s Convoy In Benue [Video]

Tension was reported in Benue State on Tuesday after suspected thugs allegedly blocked a major road shortly after Peter Obi arrived in the state.

The incident was reported by Esther Umoh, Obi’s media aide, who posted a video of the alleged road blockage on her X account.

Umoh said the incident happened after Obi and members of his entourage entered Benue State.

“We have just arrived in Benue State, where alleged sponsored thugs have blocked Boko Road by the Air Force Base, attempting to prevent Peter Obi from gaining access into the state,” she wrote.

In another video shared by the aide, several people appeared to be running behind vehicles in Obi’s convoy.

Umoh alleged that they were attempting to attack members of the entourage.

However, the identities of the individuals seen in the videos and the reason for the incident remained unclear.

The Benue State Government and the police had also not issued any official statement on the alleged incident.
