Borno State Police Invites Victims Of Theft To Claim Recovered Items

The Borno State Police Command has invited members of the public who had fallen victim to criminals to report at the Police Crack office along Airport Road Gomari Maiduguri and claim their recovered stolen items.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the deputy spokesman of the command, ASP Nahum Daso Kenneth.

Kenneth said the items were recovered by the command’s Tactical Crack Unit on the 21st of August, 2023 after it raided an uncompleted building located along Dubai – Baga Road area Maiduguri acting on credible information.

According to the statement, the property suspected to have been stolen and recovered from the building included:

1. Two ​(2) Maroun colour tricycles
2. Two (2) water pumps
3. Six (6) Rakes
4. Six (6) Cement mould
5. Two (2) Wheel Barrows
6. Three (3) Shovels
7. One (1) Empty drum
8. Four (4) Broken tricycle windscreens
9. One (1) tricycle tire
10. Sixteen (16) seats of tricycles
11. Five (5) Dashboards of tricycles
12. Six (6) tricycle oil tanks
13. Five (5) tricycle Air cleaners
14. Five (5) engine covers of tricycles
15. Two (2) tricycles engine starters
16. Eight (8) tricycle carpets
17. Thirteen (13) Head Lights of tricycles
18. Three (3) tricycles wheel covers
19. Ten (10) tricycles indicators
20. Three (3) tricycle parking lights
21. Eight (8) air cleaner cover of tricycles
22. One (1) tricycle wheel screen cap

In this regard, the command is calling on members of the public who had reported theft of the aforementioned items to come forward for possible identification at Police Crack office along airport road Gomari Maiduguri and provide genuine evidence of a claim,” the statement reads in part.

The statement also called on people of the state to continue to provide the police with reliable information, report suspicious activities, and be vigilant around any uncompleted buildings in their neighborhood.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Lionel Messi’s 10-year-old son, Thiago has joined Inter Miami academy, thereby becoming part of the MLS club’s Under-12 team.

According to Daily Mail, Thiago is listed among the additions to the U12 squad despite not being assigned to a club prior.
