Mohbad Attempted Suicide Because Of Naira Marley’s Record Label – Bella Shmurda [Video]

Nigerian musician, Bella Shmurda has revealed that his fellow artist and friend, Mohbad, went through a distressing period due to his conflicts with former record label, Marlian Music.

KanyiDaily recalls that Mohbad had openly criticized his former mentor, Naira Marley, on social media last year, alleging that he had directed his associates to physically assault him.

Following the incident, Mohbad decided to sever ties with Marlian Music, formally ending his contract with the label.

During an interview with journalist Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda said the ordeal had a significant repercussions on Mohbad’s emotional well-being, leading him to a point where he contemplated suicide.

Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad had seriously considered jumping from a high window, but his friends intervened just in time, preventing the potentially tragic incident.

He said, I don’t have to say this, but I’ll say this. At a point, me and Mohbad we43 in an apartment and Mohbad was like he wants to jump from the upstairs because of this label issue (with Marlian Records). We go hold this boy for window, Mohbad don almost jump, na him girlfriend just enter room see Mohbad sit down for window, because of all these things.

“You can’t just keep going under and these people are just forming there’s nothing happening, something is happening. Something wey fit make you think say you wan take your own life. It’s going to the extreme.

Now e go happen you go dey write RIP, and we loved him. No. There’s no love there, and none of them will speak up. They dey inside that place, none of them wan look anybody eye. Me I no dey under anybody. If you face me, I face you.”
