NDLEA Intercepts Illicit Drug In Brand New Leather Slippers As Shipment To Indonesia

Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted an illicit drug concealed in brand-new male leather slippers going to Indonesia in a shipment.

Spokesman of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi disclosed this in a short statement posted on his X handle on Sunday alongside pictures and a video of the interception.

The illicit drug was concealed under the foot of the slippers.

Babafemi did not, however,  provide much detail as to when or where the incident took place.

He did not also provide details of the suspect in charge of the item.

The NDLEA image maker, however, warned the members of the public to be quick to reject any parcel given to them to deliver abroad.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Federal Government on Saturday, expressed its commitment to put a stop to pipeline vandalism in the oil-rich Niger Delta.

The minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri stated this after inspecting an illegal facility in Delta State.
