Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested 29 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation in Enugu state.
The suspects are: Ali Chukwuebuka, Arinze Ede, Charles Aforka, Ugwueke Chidera, Ugwu Felix Chenedu, Chizu Ifejika, Chris Emmanuel, Chukwuka Onye, Chukwuneke Nicholas, Daniel Okwume, Ebubechukwu Egbo Victor, and Ejeh Monday Nelson.
Others include; Francis Peter Ifechukwu, Chibuzor Ikweze Anthony, Joshua Onah, Martin Excel Ozichukwu, Ejeh Moses, Ogbonna Okpata, Ohia Excel, Nicholas Okereke, Kingsley Onyedikachi, Osinachi Johnson, Enejeh Paul, John Samuel, Omeh Kamsichukwu Joseph, Chigozie Egwuatu Chiderem, Okechukwu Ezeka, Johnson Onuorah, and Emmanuel Johnson.
Items recovered from them include two Lexus IS 350 cars, 45 mobile phones, seven personal computers, one Airtel Wi-Fi and one hard drive.
The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court soon.
In other news, In a bid to continually get rid of criminal elements in Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) Joint Operation Area (JOA) and Headquarters 3 Armoured Division Area of Responsibility, troops neutralized 2 terrorists at Kafanchan in Jema’a Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State and apprehended 24 other suspected kidnappers during the conduct of several sting operations in the JOA.
