The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, during a briefing with reporters.
Ngelale revealed that Tinubu’s primary objective at the summit is to attract foreign investments that will contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth and development across various sectors.
According to him, Tinubu is expected to engage with world leaders, heads of state, prominent industry figures, and CEOs of major corporations, particularly those with Indian connections.
He emphasized the President’s commitment to raising private capital from global sources to support the nation’s public infrastructure development.
The presidential aide further disclosed that Buhari intends to host a roundtable meeting with over 20 CEOs representing various economic sectors.
Ngelale said the purpose of this meeting is to explore opportunities for these CEOs to invest in Nigeria, aligning their interests with the nation’s goals in industrialization, digitalization, and renewable energy.
He emphasized the importance of maximizing this opportunity to enhance Nigeria’s economic value, create job opportunities, and generate resources to support various government initiatives.
He assured that daily updates from India would be provided to keep Nigerians informed about the President’s activities during the summit.
“We are going to make sure, under the direction of the president, that we make the most of the opportunity to add value to the nation, to create jobs for our citizens, and ultimately, to increase and generate resources for the nation to guarantee that the government can properly finance and support its forward-thinking programmes across sectors.
“There is a lot to cover, and when we get into Nigeria the following week, there will be live updates from India, which I will provide everyday to give Nigerians full access to what their president is doing on their behalf,” Ngelale said.
