“I Don’t Want My Leg To Be Cut Off” – Mr Ibu Begs For Financial Help From Hospital Bed [Video]

Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has opened up about his battle with a life-threatening illness from his hospital bed.

Mr Ibu’s revelation follows the celebration of his 63rd birthday with his wife, Stella Maris Okafor, and other family members also present in the hospital.

Mr Ibu has been absent from the spotlight due to health issues, having disclosed in 2019 that he was poisoned by jealous individuals from his village.

In 2022, the movie star was diagnosed with diabetes and kidney failure, leading to life-saving surgery at the Zenith Medical and Kidney Center in Abuja.

In a recent video shared on his Instagram page, Mr Ibu called for financial support and prayers while expressing concern that his legs might be amputated.

Sharing his bank details, he said, “I have been down for so many weeks, all I’m hoping for is your prayers and assistance. I’ve been in the hospital, as I speak to you, I’m still lying down in the hospital.

“The medical director says in case his new idea didn’t work, the best idea is to cut off my leg, just see me, if they cut off my leg where will I go to? Please be on prayers for me, talk to God Almighty, I don’t want my leg to be cut off. God bless you”

A woman, likely one of his children, also appealed for financial assistance as Mr Ibu faced this critical health battle, urging everyone to support him in every possible way – financially, in prayers, in faith, and belief.

She said, “I have never had to asked any help online in my life! Please this one time, am calling on everyone to come support daddy @realmribu, the best way we can financially, in prayers, in faith and believe! Every way possible! Thank you”.

Sharing the video, Mr Ibu wrote: “Dear Good people of Nigerian, we are counting on your support at these point we need it the most. Access Bank….1685687982….John Ikechukwu Okafor”
