Tnubu recently departed from Abuja en route to Dubai to participate in the COP28 Climate Summit, also known as the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference.
Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, revealed that Tinubu would be delivering a national statement during the World Leaders’ Summit on December 1 and 2, 2023.
He said that the president will deliver a national statement outlining Nigeria’s position on various thematic issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.
While in Dubai, Tinubu plans to actively engage in essential sideline events to support his commitment to attracting foreign direct investment for wealth creation and revenue expansion in Nigeria.
Ngelale emphasized that the Nigerian delegation at COP28 will explore opportunities for establishing new bilateral partnerships to facilitate the implementation of Nigeria’s Energy Transition, Article 6 Projects, Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes, Technology Transfer, Capacity Building, and Methane Mitigation initiatives.
