“We’re Staying Together Forever” – Jada Pinkett Speaks On Separation With Will Smith

Hollywood actress, Jada Pinkett has addressed rumors of her separation with husband, Will Smith, emphasizing that they are not planning to divorce.

In an interview with Drew Barrymore on the Drew Barrymore Show, discussing Pinkett Smith’s recent biography, “Worthy,” the presenter broached the topic of the couple’s alleged breakup.

While Drew was holding a copy of Worthy, the actress advised that the book was an example of the couple being seen as distinct entities.

During the prerecorded interview set to air on Tuesday, Jada Pinkett clarified that she and Will Smith have no intentions of formal divorce.

Drew asked, “Can I separate you from the man, because you are the woman who I’ve gotten to know.”

“I feel like maybe your and his shadow separated in this book, whether they stay together forever or not. It sounds like you’re staying together forever.”

Responding to Drew Barrymore’s observation about the book, Pinkett Smith affirmed, “We’re staying together forever. I tried. We tried.”

The actress explained, “I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying.”

Following the interview, Jada Pinkett Smith shared that she decided to give her marriage another chance after Will Smith’s altercation with Chris Rock during a book tour event for the 2022 Academy Awards.

She revealed during an event in New York City, “When I was sitting at the Oscars, it clicked in, I was like, ‘Oh snap, you hit Chris?’”

Pinkett Smith expressed her commitment, stating, “I was like, ‘I’m riding with you. I didn’t come into this place as your wife, but I’m leaving here as your wife because we got a storm we’re gonna have to deal with together. I am NOT going to leave your side.”

She added, “I said, ‘I’m not gonna be able to get away from this dude. I really love him.”
