During a guest appearance on the Capital Xtra Podcast, Busta Rhymes said that working with Burna Boy was one of the most remarkable experiences of his career.
The rapper, who recently featured Burna Boy in his latest album, “Blockbusta,” expressed admiration for the Nigerian artist’s focused and swift work ethic.
‘Working with Burna Boy was one of the most incredible experiences I had in my life. Because he’s fast, efficient and very clear. When he knows what he’s gonna do, he ain’t wasting no time. And he’s super dangerously cold with it,” he said.
The rap legend shared the laid-back process of their collaboration, recounting how they casually sat, drank juice, and listened to tracks on a playlist.
Busta Rhymes said Burna Boy, efficient and decisive, quickly selected the track for their collaboration.
He said, “And I’m like I’ve got some shit I wanna play you too, so I’m playing him the album and about four songs and the third one Roboshotta and he was like, ‘Hey yo, what’s that’ that’s the song Pharell did for me.
“So I played two more songs, played about five songs. So we talking and drinking some juice and everything was perfection.”
This isn’t the first time Busta Rhymes has shown support for Burna Boy; he previously congratulated the Nigerian singer in July 2023 for selling out the Citi Field Stadium in New York.
