Gov Otu Confident Tinubu Can Elevate 50 Million Nigerians Out Of Poverty

Senator Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to elevate 50 million Nigerians out of extreme poverty

Governor Otu affirmed this belief on Monday evening at the Millennium Park in Calabar, the state capital, while inaugurating and distributing grants to vulnerable groups in the state’s southern senatorial district.

Otu emphasized that he had never seen a government as generous as President Tinubu’s administration, dedicated to diligently restoring the country to its former glory.

The state chief executive confirmed that the nation’s economy and its future were in the safe hands of President Tinubu, saying, “No government has ever uplifted 50 million people out of poverty, but I am confident President Tinubu will achieve it.”

Otu said, “Despite initial skepticism about the President’s religious affiliation, today we have come to realize his dedication to making the Christmas celebrations more joyful for the people

“With the government’s strategic focus on the nation’s economy, it is evident that the future of the nation is promising.”

“For Cross River, we are addressing key sectors such as Agriculture, Security, and Tourism. Soon, the state will stand out among other states in the nation.”

Otu reassured the physically challenged community of his administration’s commitment to non-discrimination, promising the establishment of a dedicated commission to address their specific needs.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, stressed that the event represented the renewed hope and agenda of Bola Tinubu in Cross River State.

Edu emphasized the partnership between the President and the Governor of Cross River to uplift residents living below the poverty line.

The Minister appealed to state residents to support the Governor in sustaining the developmental initiatives commenced by the previous administration.

Kanyi Daily recalls that the Cross River State governorship election petition tribunal had affirmed the election of Governor Bassey Otu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
