In an interview on White Pearl Studios TV, Yul Edochie addressed criticisms he has faced in the past two years, particularly regarding his second marriage to colleague, Judy Austin.
At 41 years old, the actor expressed his indifference to criticism from people in their 20s on social media, stressing that he is not interested in being lectured on how to live his life.
He highlighted his 18 years of experience in Nollywood and dismissed attempts by younger individuals to advise him on his life choices.
Emphasizing his resilience, Edochie stated that he is accustomed to facing attacks and has developed a thick skin over the last two years.
He said, “People have been dragging for the past two years, I no dey fear dragging, I don’t even read all those things they write about me.
“I have spent 18 years in Nollywood, these are young people, I am 41, someone who is 23, 24 is trying to teach me how to live my life, someone who is not married is trying to tell me how to leave my life.”
Yul Edochie singled out his father, veteran actor Pete Edochie, and President Bola Tinubu as the only two people he will not tolerate being criticized in his presence.
Implicitly warning detractors, the actor hinted at unleashing his fervor upon anyone daring to target these two figures.
“Only two people must not be dragged in my presence my father and President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
While expressing his readiness to disclose details about his tumultuous marriage saga with estranged wife May Edochie, Yul teased his audience.
He said, “Time for me to say it all. Una go hear wetin una never hear before,” indicating his intention to share previously undisclosed information.
Yul Edochie got dragged even more after netizens watched his interview, with some people describing him as shameless.
KanyiDaily recalls that relationship expert, Blessing Okoro CEO recently expressed her deep admiration for Yul Edochie.
