Napoli, the Serie A champions, have freed Victor Osimhen for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

Today marks the 25th birthday of Osimhen.

The attacker has been suspended for Napoli’s league match against Monza on Friday (today), prompting his early release from the 2023 AFCON finals.

Osimhen was sent off in the Partenopei’s 2-0 loss to AS Roma last week.

The ex-Lille player is now on vacation in Nigeria.

The striker, who is anticipated to be nominated to the Super Eagles’ squad for Cote d’Ivoire 2023, will join his international teammates on January 1 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Kanyidaily recalls that Osimhen got red card after clash with Mourinho in recent encounter.
