Tinubu to Unveil Lagos Red Line February- Sanwo-Olu

Governor Sanwo-Olu has formally communicated with President Bola Tinubu regarding the unveiling of the rail line

He revealed this information during the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting hosted at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja

Our Red Line rail will be unveiled in February. We have written officially to Mr President to come and help us unveil it in February this year,” Sanwo-Olu said

In December 2023, Sanwo-Olu unveiled the Ikeja Overpass of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red Line

While revealing the overpass, Sanwo-Olu expressed hope that the 95% completed Red Line rail would be unveiled by Tinubu before the end of the first quarter of 2024.

He added that when operational, the Red Line rail is projected to carry around 500,000 passengers on a daily basis.

Kanyi Daily recalls that Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, had officially signed a contract for the construction of the second phase of the Blue Line, extending from Mile 2 to the Okokomaiko area of the state.
