Unknown Gunmen Murder Anambra Community Leader in His House

Unknown Gunmen broke into the residence of Chief Silas Onyima, the President-General of Umuoji community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, and murdered him on Friday.

The community leader, popularly known as Chief Sly, was later discovered naked in a pool of blood, inside a bathtub.
However, details regarding his murder remain unclear at the time of filing this report, and the identities of his killers remain unknown

Police authorities in Anambra State have confirmed the incident, stating that they are collaborating with locals to identify the perpetrators.

State Police Command’s spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the recovery of the slain community leader’s body

“Yes, I’m aware of the incident. The command immediately sent operatives there, and the body of the PG has been retrieved

“We are working with locals to identify the perpetrators of the act, in order to bring them to book. Calm has also been restored in the area,” he said.

Kanyi Daily recalls that in Obosi, Anambra State, a mentally-unstable man undergoing deliverance at an undisclosed church had stabbed a fellow worshipper with a cutlass, causing a deep injury.
