Olamide Asked Me To Dump My Girlfriend When I Became Famous – Asake Reveals [Video]

Nigerian singer, Asake has opened up about his early days in the music industry, revealing the guidance he received from his boss, Olamide.

According to Asake, after receiving his first paycheck from music, he excitedly shared the news with his girlfriend and generously gifted her with N2 million.

However, to his surprise, she declined the gift, stating that it was insufficient compared to his earnings. This response troubled Asake, considering his girlfriend’s humble background.

Seeking advice, Asake said he turned to Olamide, who suggested parting ways with his girlfriend and instead directing the funds to his mother.

Following Olamide’s counsel, Asake said he sent the money to his mother, who utilized it wisely to establish a prosperous provision store.

Asake expressed gratitude for following Olamide’s advice, as it alleviated financial burdens for his mother and strengthened their familial bond.

Reflecting on Olamide’s mentorship, Asake acknowledged him not only as a label boss but also as a paternal figure, underscoring the valuable guidance and support he received.

He said, “When I made my first big paycheck from music, I was so happy that I shared the news with my girlfriend. I gave her full details of how much I made and the next day, I gave her 2 million naira as a gift.

“To my surprise, she turned it down saying 2 million was too small compared to how much I had made. I was a bit worried cause this girl is from a humble background and I never imagined her to be like that.

“I explained the situation to Olamide and he advised me to leave the girl, he also instructed me to send the 2 million naira to my mom.

“I’m glad I did cause my mom was able to make good use of the money and open a big provision store. My mom doesn’t call me for financial issues anymore cause she’s doing just fine”

“Olamide isn’t just a label boss, but a father as well”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Asake recently cleared his Instagram page by deleting all his photos, and unfollowing everyone including Olamide.
