Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has playfully threatened his younger colleague, Toyin Abraham, during the Best of Nollywood Awards held in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The event, which took place at the Sugar Factory Film Studios, brought together stars and filmmakers from across the industry.

Kanayo was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

During his acceptance speech, KanayoO Kanayo expressed gratitude to the Governor and the event organizers for the recognition.

He dedicated the award to his colleagues battling drug addiction and called for collective efforts to support those struggling with their health.

In a message directed at Toyin Abraham, the actor warned her to avoid talking to him at 1 am, else he would make her disappear in his coven.

Kanayo said, “I want to thank the organizers for these awards, and for this celebration. Toyin Abraham, this is just some minute to 12; if you talk to me at 1 am, I’ll take you to the coven, and you will disappear.

Your Excellency, it’s a privilege to have this award presented to me by you. I dedicate these awards to some of her colleagues who have been caught on drugs and are in the hospital.

“I wish the different states could come together to rescue those who aren’t in good health. At 62 years, I am doing well in Nollywood”.

Sharing video from the event on Instagram, he wrote:
Happening NOW in Ilorin, Kwara State, I was conferred with a Special Recognition Award (Lifetime Achievement Award) at the BEST OF NOLLYWOOD AWARDS 2024, for my contributions to the growth of the Entertainment industry in Africa, presented by His Excellency, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Executive Governor, Kwara State.”
