Aisha Achimugu Foundation Supports Over 1,000 Vulnerable Persons in Kabusa Community

In a remarkable display of generosity, the Aisha Achimugu Foundation distributed food items, monetary benefits, and other essential gifts to over 1,000 vulnerable individuals in Kabusa, Abuja.

The event, which took place as part of their annual outreach, aimed to assist widows, out-of-school children, individuals needing medical attention, and persons with disabilities.

Representing Dr. Mrs. Aisha Achimugu, the Group Managing Director of FELA Concept, Vera Idi, Executive Director of Main Finance Policy and Governance at FELA Concept, highlighted the motivation behind the initiative:

“The program which is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, is targeted at widows, out-of-school children, and people in need of medication, and persons with disabilities.

“It could have been any other community. It could have been Dutse, it could have been Kugbo, it could have been anywhere, but we choose Kabusa. This particular location is grossly under developed and they are not getting the attention of the government.That is why we chose Kabusa.

Mrs. Keima Ogunlana, Program Director of the Aisha Achimugu Foundation, described the event as an opportunity to spread love and care to the underprivileged:

“This gathering actually resonates with our vision whereby we want to see a world where there is no vulnerable person, rather woman, children, persons with disability, is not denied access to quality living.”

“The foundation worked with community leaders to identify the beneficiaries, who received food stuff, food, drinks, and monetary benefits. The event also included fun activities and games for the children.

The Secretary to the District Head of Kabusa, Ezekiel Bitrus, expressed gratitude on behalf of the community:

“We appreciate the organizers for coming to Kabusa. There are many communities surrounding us that need to have something like this but they couldn’t get it. We are lucky to have your team supporting us despite the economic situation.”

One of the beneficiaries, Blessing Adewusi, was overcome with emotion and thanked the organizers:

“I thank God for what happened to me today. I didn’t expect this. God used your organization to surprise me. They shared cloth, money, and other food items for us.”

The outreach will extend to Niger State, where 50 widows are set to benefit from the foundation’s generosity, underscoring its commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities across Nigeria.
