How RCCG Pastor Was Arrested Abroad For Greeting ‘Ladies And Gentlemen’ – Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has expressed deep concern over the arrest of one of the church’s pastors in a foreign country.

Adeboye revealed that an RCCG pastor was arrested for addressing an audience as “ladies and gentlemen,” a phrase deemed discriminatory for not acknowledging all gender identities recognized in that culture.

Pastor Adeboye disclosed this during RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service held at the Throne of Grace in Lagos on Sunday.

His sermon, titled “My Father’s House” and broadcast to all RCCG parishes, emphasized the challenges Christians face in an increasingly complex world.

“The end is nearer than you think. Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors abroad was arrested for simply addressing a gathering as ‘ladies and gentlemen.’

“Some people reported him for discrimination, asking, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?’” he stated.

At some point during his sermon, Adeboye spoke about a troubling case where a woman referred to her dog as her husband.

When asked about her spouse, the woman reportedly said, “I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk, indicating her “husband” was her pet dog.

Pastor Adeboye expressed grave concern about such incidents, citing them as signs of a moral decline and the approaching end times.

“Those of you already in Christ, take this matter seriously. Do not let anyone weaken your stand. God is holy,” he said.

“Those still playing church—singing, clapping, and enjoying things without genuine commitment—remember, Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house.”

The pastor also addressed cultural and moral issues affecting the church, particularly among its members and workers.

He criticized modern trends like men wearing braided hair and women using false eyelashes or heavy makeup, stating such styles would no longer be permitted on RCCG altars.

Pastor Adeboye voiced his frustration with these fashion choices, expressing disbelief at their increasing acceptance within the church.

KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently said that the exchange rate could have risen to ₦10,000 per dollar if not for God’s intervention.
