2face Dismiss Hacking Rumour, Confirm Separation & Ongoing Divorce From Annie Idibia

Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face or Tuface, clarified on Sunday evening that his Instagram page had not been hacked and confirmed his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay.

Earlier in the day, 2face shared the news of their separation on Instagram, revealing that they had recently filed for divorce.

In his post, he wrote: “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing i have to say is short but also long…. Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while now. and currently filed divorce…

“I would grant a press release soon to say my story..not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life; but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. stay blessed my people. I love you all.”

The announcement came as a surprise to many, especially since the couple had celebrated their wedding anniversary just a few days earlier.

Shortly after, the post was deleted, and another appeared, claiming 2fac’s Instagram account had been hacked.

It read: “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control. #OneLove!”

However, 2face later went live on Instagram to confirm that the original post was indeed his and that the hacking claims were false.

In a calm tone, he said, “No body hacked my account, na me talk wetin I won talk” (“Nobody hacked my account, I said what I said”).”

Adding to the evidence of their split, the couple has unfollowed each other on social media.

2face and Annie had been together for over 20 years, having met when she was just 15 years old. They married in Dubai in 2013 and have two children together.
