US Excludes UK, Nigeria, Others From Visa-Free Entry For 2025 [Full List]

The United States has unveiled its updated list of countries eligible for the 2025 Visa Waiver Program (VWP), allowing travelers to visit the U.S. without a visa for up to 90 days.

The United Kingdom is not included in the program but remains eligible under certain conditions.

No African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa, made the list either.

A key update this year is the addition of Romania, marking a significant shift in the selection process.

The U.S. government continues to prioritize countries with strong diplomatic ties and robust border security measures while also strengthening security checks for visa-free travel.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs, travelers under the VWP must obtain approval through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before departure.

The agency stated, “Travellers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel and meet all requirements explained below. If you prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor visa.”

The revised 2025 program aims to streamline travel for millions, making business, tourism, and transit visits more accessible.

The current list includes 40 countries, as follows:
