Murja Kunya, who initially started TikTok as a hobby, has since built a full-time career on the platform.
Her account, “Yagayagamen”, has gained widespread attention, but her content has often sparked controversy, leading to several legal issues in Kano State.
Her arrest is part of a broader crackdown, as the EFCC has also detained other TikTok personalities, including Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris, for similar offenses.
KanyiDaily recalls that Kano State Police Command previously arrested Murja Ibrahim Kunya while booking hotel rooms for her birthday guest.
