Gospel Singer, Sola Allyson Breaks Down In Tears Over Criticism for Not Mentioning ‘Jesus’ in Her Songs [Video]

Gospel singer Sola Allyson has responded to intense criticism from those accusing her of deliberately avoiding the name “Jesus” in her music.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sola Allyson called out her critics for being harsh and judgmental, arguing that their behavior contradicts the values they claim to uphold.

The singer suggested that their need to enforce their views on her might stem from insecurity or a desire for validation.

She further expressed that the version of Jesus her critics promote seems insecure and in need of validation, something she refuses to be part of.

Allyson described the backlash as an attempt to manipulate and control others, stressing that the Jesus she knows would never engage in such behavior.

In a lengthy post, Allyson wrote: “Why are you people this callous and unkind? If this is what you are with your own Jesus, I don’t want to be identified with you lots! Can you see why really true souls who have found themselves distant themselves from you?

“Or is it that you are desperately looking for an addition of light-souls in your dark space and you must bully them into joining you??? Or you have low self esteem and you don’t feel enough without me? Because, kò yé mi.

“Or the Jesus presented to you is that who has low self esteem and looks for validation. Can’t you see that you have failed already? All these years? Why must I be like your fathers and mothers before you see what I am? Did I ask to be a part of you?

“Am I not walking my own journey and getting ahead in it? I don’t want to be a part of dark souls who outwardly present “Jesus”! This act says dark and callous!

“This is bullying! The Jesus I know Would NEVER do this! Anyone who does anything like this only calls The Name and not of The Name! I don’t want to be a part of you bullies and manipulators! Leave me to be and face your fellow vain, shallow and liar souls!”

In another post, Sola Allyson admitted that the criticism had affected her emotionally, even bringing her to tears before she decided to speak up.

The gospel singer reaffirmed her faith and personal understanding of spirituality, stating: “To @Folahanayo1 and his fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters in the business of manipulating other souls into joining their Jesus business, this is for you.

“Once again, noone can bully me into joining their darkness that looks like light because indolent souls find comfort in it…

“Yes, I am human. It gets to me sometimes. Like now. Because of my own personal struggles. Which l will definitely outgrow and thereby break the code of a deeper deep in fulfilling purpose. BUT I can NEVER be dragged or manipulated into being a shallow entity.

“I do NOT seek to be with your kind of jesus. Leave me alone. Face your own journey.

“The One I know Would NEVER manipulate anyone into following Him. And the way I understand Him is the way I am being, as He SAID to do, and that light I shall ooze till I am permitted to be here. It is an àìlèkú light…May eyes keep opening and may help keep being.”

This is not the first time Sola Allyson has faced criticism for not explicitly using the name “Jesus” in her songs, but she remains firm in her stance, refusing to conform to external pressures.
